UI Updates

As the main UI developer, I was tasked with creating menus and displays that give the player all the info they need to enjoy and play our game. In the beginning place holder images and flat colored boxes were used to get the basics across to the player. As development continued more placeholders were used until every element of the UI was created. With the final month being about polishing the game, it is now time to work on replacing all the placeholders used for the initial UI creation.

With it now being the time to replace the placeholders with more permanent elements, it also came the time to search for those elements that fit within the style of our game. In my search, I focused on elements that needed more immediate replacement, the health bar. While the placeholder health bar was sufficient enough for our needs, it stuck out as a placeholder more with the other elements no longer being placeholders. After some more searching, I found a UI pack that fits a bit with the theme, but it's a bit bright so I have been turning the color down so it fits more. So far the new elements have been fitting in and making the UI look much more complete.
